Get rid of stubborn tan this summer with easy simple tips
Summers are so much fun, water parks, ice lollies, pretty dresses and evening strolls.But in a hot country like ours, summer fun comes at a cost, the cost of tan and sunburns.
So here we have compiled some home remedies which will help you get rid of stubborn tan and will improve your overall skin texture. Yes, these treatments will take care of your skin and will not burn a hole in your pocket slight.
1. Yoghurt, sugar and lemon pack
This is a tried and tested remedy to remove even the most stubborn tan. The Alpha Hydroxyl acids in yogurt naturally exfoliate the dead layer of skin.
In addition, yogurt also acts as a natural bleaching agent. Lemon is a rich source of Vitamin C and is loaded with antioxidants, which will delay the aging process and premature wrinkles, freckles, and pigmentation
Mix one tablespoon of yogurt, with the juice of half lemon and 1 teaspoon sugar and just a little rose water. Apply it over affected areas and leave for 10 mins and wash off. You will see results in a week
2. Buttermilk and Oat Meal Pack
yet another of my favorite recommendations; this is a pack that will not disappoint! Simply mix together 3 tbsp of buttermilk with 2 tbsp of oatmeal. Massage into affected areas in circular motions. The buttermilk will soothe the skin and heal the blisters while the oats will act as a natural exfoliator, revealing younger looking skin!
3. Papaya pulp massage on tanned area
Papaya pulp is also another effective ingredient to help remove tan quickly. Massage the Papaya pulp on the affected area for more than 10 minutes and leave it on for another 10-15 minutes. when you realize that it has started to dry, wash it off with cold water.
4. Lime and cucumber juice

prepare a mixture of lime juice, cucumber juice, and rosewater and apply it on the tanned area. Apply on the affected area for 15 minutes, Gently massage your face for a minute or 2 and then leave it on for 10-15 minutes. When the pack is completely dried, You can wash your face and hands with Coldwater. This mixture has proven to be quite effective to remove harsh suntans and sunburns. The cooling effect of rose water and citric of lime acts as a perfect combination to remove the tan from very easily and quickly
5.Lemon Juice and Potato
did you know that potatoes can make a great tan removal pack when combined with lemon juice? Loaded with fibers, vital vitamins, and minerals, the juice of potato helps treat both blemishes and the sunburn naturally.
Extract the juice of one medium-sized potato, and mix together with a tablespoon of freshly extracted lemon juice. Apply this on your face like all other packs. Leave it on for half an hour before you wash it off with cold water and pat dry!
